The complete third season of Supernatural will be available for purchase as of September 2, at an average retail price of $59.98.

There’s some nice bonus items included in this set.  Seven episodes have “A Closer Look” featurette, where a writer, director, or producer discusses certain scenes from the show.  This was nice since you get a lot of information about what they were trying to do and why in a short and sweet segment.  There’s also “Ghostfacers! Confessionals” where the Ghostfacers talk about themselves and give their opinions of Sam and Dean.  It’s quite funny and originally appeared on the Ghostfacers web page that CW hosts.  There’s a nice featurette on the special effects, “From Legends to Reality”, and a fun look at Dean’s car, “Supernatural Impala.”  The set is rounded off with a gag reel that was pretty amusing.

Good news for those of you who can’t wait for season 4 to begin! There’s a new Supernatural book hitting stores today, entitled Bone Key. It tells the saga of the Winchester brothers in its fourth year.

The novel was written by Keith R.A. DeCandido, who also penned the first Supernatural tie-in novel, Nevermore.

If you’d rather wait, tune into the CW on September 18, when Supernatural returns.

“Supernatural” was the big winner of the SyFy Genre Awards, with two awards including Best Actor/Television for Jensen Ackles and Best Series/Television, the two categories the show was nominated for. Supernatural.tv also won for Best Web Site, beating out past winners including GateWorld and Whedonesque. Congratulations to Jensen and al the winners!
